PROJECT OVERVIEW
"A Sin de Fella Story" is a heartwarming observational documentary, following Christo "Sin de Fella," mistress of a caravan community and the driving force behind YardArts.
The moodboard defined with director Sheryn Yidi was quite broad, allowing me to experiment with different styles and versions.
The ideas included a more simplistic approach, working with the photographs from the shoot, leaning more heavily into the documentary side of the story.
The other big influence were vintage circus and cabaret posters, nodding toward the performances shown within the documentary.
The final design is a modern take on the vintage poster designs, playing with dramatic and impactful type.
In line with the type and style of the poster, I also created a title animation and banner design for the documentary.
