PROJECT OVERVIEW
Dead End is a six-part murder mystery series set in the saccharine summer world of the rich and beautiful.
Creating this TV-Bible to accompany my series pilot was truly a masterclass in visual storytelling and effective layout.
I wanted the deck to serve – at a glance – as an effective introduction into the unique, colorful world of the mystery thriller show. However, with the amount of information needing to be conveyed to be considered as well, the imagery couldn't be too distracting, and all text needed to be fitted neatly into the overall concept.
I opted for a high-class magazine aesthetic, which reflects the world of the beautiful and rich the show is set in, paired with backgrounds that go from bright and vibrant to dark and grimy, mirroring the storyline outlined in the deck itself.
The family tree offers another quick aid to help the reader better understand the complicated relationships that dominate the story.
Overall, in creating this pitch deck, I had the chance to further my understanding of creating practical yet beautiful layouts, while using all the tools available to me to break complex information down into easily understandable visuals.
