PROJECT OVERVIEW
Echoes explores the once intertwined lives of three young adults coming together months after the death of Lily – their best friend, girlfriend, and sister. As they come to grapple with just how far their lives have drifted apart, each one tries to find their own way of dealing with the grief and remembering Lily.
Raw and intimate, Echoes is a short film about the complicated nature of loss, its effects on our relationships, and the solace found in shared memories.
At the core of the film is the missing presence of Lily, represented by an undeveloped roll of film she shot before she died – a film full of everyday moments, of her life with her friends. The poster is built around the 24 developed pictures shown in the final scene, though in their negative state.
